- Product Description
Ohia Lehua Honey is produced by bees in the pristine Mauna Kea Forest and Volcano Forest in the Ka'u District of the Big Island. They gather nectar almost exclusively from Lehua Blossoms, also known as the Merrie Monarch Flower, on 'Ohia Trees.
This nectar yields a rich, amber honey with a light, pleasing floral flavor. In Hawai'i, 'Ohia Lehua Honey naturally tends to crystalize after it has been processed by the bees and harvested from the honeycombs, resulting in a delightfully textured honey that is semi-solid yet easily spread on toast or bagels like butter. 1 lb. 16 oz.
