Raiatea Helm has spent her entire musical life perpetuating the traditional music of Hawai'i. Her vocal styling has been influenced by the voices of Nina Keali'iwahamana, Lena Machado, Genoa Keawe, and Leina'ala Haili. In this release, He Leo Huali, Raiatea presents an all-Hawaiian mele compilation containing traditional, hapa-haole, contemporary and new compositions. Raiatea's exquisite interpretations showcase her ever increasing vocal maturity, while remaining true to the roots of a historical place and time.
