Build a Detailed Replica of an Early Polynesian Canoe
Early Polynesians carved canoes from large, solid, indigenous hardwood trees. On double-hulled vessels, they sailed, explored and discovered isles throughout the South Pacific. Smaller, single-hulled outrigger canoes were used for offshore fishing, inter-island travel, and recreation. This kit includes wood canoe parts, cloth sail, mast, raffia lashing and sandpaper. Assembly is required.
